The Netherlands, Sweden and Germany intend to propose five chemicals as substances of very high concern (SVHC) in August 5th, 2013. The proposals based on the substances' carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic(CMR) or Persistent Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) properties. These five substances please refer to below table.

These proposals include azo-dye compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAH), and heavy metal compounds such as Lead di(acetate) and cadmium sulfide which are commonly present in textiles, polymers, electronic components and other products or materials. The SVHC candidate list currently contains 138 substances, and it will be constantly updated follow-up. It is suggested businesses concern about regulatory news timely.
